Regan Chance, of the Martinville community, has been in the saddle nearly her entire life. Starting at just two years old, she began a rodeo journey that has taken her across the United States—and is now carrying her into college.
The daughter of Leslie and Jason Crotwell, and granddaughter of Phil and Sarah Chance of Mendenhall and Dan and Judy Smith of Raymond, Regan has enjoyed steadfast support from her family throughout years of training and travel.
She has competed in the State of Mississippi Horse Show Association, National Junior High Rodeo Association, National High School Rodeo Association, National Little Britches Rodeo Association, Tri-State Rodeo Association, and numerous other organizations across Mississippi and Louisiana. For more than six years, Regan has proudly represented Mississippi on the national stage.
This fall, she will attend Northwest Mississippi Community College, where she plans to study welding and compete on the school’s rodeo team under Coach Will Lummus.
“Rodeo has given me experiences and friendships I could never have imagined,” Regan shared. “I’m excited for the next chapter—both in the arena and in my career path.”
Be sure to check out Regan’s video to see her in action. She’s a remarkable young woman excelling in a sport that many may not even realize is thriving right here in Mississippi.
