Lorraine (Pickett) Waltman passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at the age of 84. She was born to Melvin and Evelyn (Hines) Pickett on November 26, 1936, in Utica, MS.

Mrs. Lorraine retired from the Simpson County Sherriff’s Office.

She is survived by sons, Robert Waltman (Bridgette), Rickey Waltman (Angie); sisters, Imogene P. Hoffman (Jim), Mary Monette Greer (Billie), Dorothy “Dot” Alderman, Betty “Sue” Summers (Ron); grandchildren, Chris (Lacy), Allen (Caysee), Matt (Carlin), Justin (Stephanie), Jamie (William), Ashleigh, Shelby (Spencer), Cory, Ava, Bella, Ruby, Alana, Amanda, Amber; great-grandchildren, Nate, Luke, Wyatt, Levi, Cooper, Sheppard, George, Max, Gage, Seth, Jaylen, Abbey, Amelia, Briana, Mary Joana, Sadie, Giselle, and Lilly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Waltman; daughter, Kathryn Sanders (Jeff); brother, Melvin Clinton Pickett Jr.; sister, Joyce Pickett; brother-in-law, W.C. Alderman.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Jupiter Baptist Church in Braxton, MS with Bro. Danny Powell, Bro. Fred Hartley and Bro. Roger Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
