Frances Charleen Vanderford, 80, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sunday, December 24, 1939, in Brandon, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church in Mendenhall, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 17, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Marcus Burnham will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mrs. Vanderford was a member of Galilee Baptist Church. She served the church for over fifty years as a Sunday school church secretary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly Cook, Sr. and Lula Mae Everett Cook; and one brother, Kelly Cook, Jr.
Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-two years, Cletes Vanderford of Mendenhall; one son, Douglas Vanderford and wife Sandy of Mendenhall; two grandsons, Justin Vanderford and wife, Katrina of Huntsville, AL, and Adam Vanderford of Mendenhall; two great-grandchildren, Heidi and Bennett Vanderford of Huntsville, AL; two sisters, her twin sister, Kathleen Cook Vanderford and husband, L.Q. of Pearl and Willie Jean Cook Doster of Cleveland; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin Vanderford, Wesley Stewart, Jonathan Skinner, Mark Clark, James Cook, and Wesley Sebren.
