Nicole Sandifer made her intentions to play college basketball official Friday signing with Grambling State University at Magee High School gym before family, fans, and teammates.   Named to the “Players to Watch” list, by the Geeker, Nicole has not disappointed. The combo Guard leads her team to a #3 preseason ranking.

Athletic ability runs deep in Nicole’s family.  Erica Holmes is Nicole’s mother.  Her brother is Xavier Franks (Zay) who plays Corner back for USM.

Nicole is a team player with moves that excite the crowd.  (She also does a mean break dance!).

(Information from Nicole’s Coach, Coach Kndria Young)

Nicole Sandifer has been a member of the Varsity Basketball team since her 8th grade year and has been making an impact ever since. She is one of the hardest working kids I have ever coached. She lives in the gym & the sky is the limit. I always say that I envy whoever coaches her in college because they will see the best version of her. She hasn’t even SCRAPED into her potential. She has a very bright future in this sport.

Not only is she a great basketball player. She is a great kid. Very helpful & loving. She is amazing with kids & she has a heart for giving to the community. Nicole does a lot of community service working with children with Special Needs and small children. She has a huge heart for others & is a servant leader.

Her accomplishments are:

-Region 6-3a All Region Team (2019-20; 2020-21; 2021-22; 2022-2023)

-Region 6-3a MVP (2021-22 & 2022-23)

-Clarion Ledger MS All-State Team 2021-22 & 2023-22

-SBLive MS All State (2022-23)

-1000 Point Club (1,354 points scored as of 2022-23 season)

Mississippi South Junior All-Star

#5 is MS Ranking in 2024 class

3 time Clarion Ledger Player of the Week (2022)

4 time Clarion Ledger Player of the Week (2023)

She received offer from:
