The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Acts 14:17: “He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; He provides you with plenty of food and fills your heart with joy.” Luke, who assisted the apostle Paul, is usually credited as being the author of the Book of Acts. In this verse, he tells early Christians and all of us down through the ages of the all-encompassing goodness of God, the Author and Finisher of our faith. God, through His manifest goodness, provides rain, food, and joy to enrich our lives. What we are to do in return is to worship Him with gladness, gratitude, and obedience. By so doing, we help further His kingdom here on earth. Let us ever be found with grateful hearts and obedient spirits. Amen!
