Probably one of my favorite people from my growing-up years is Charlie Gee. Charlie lived at the Sanatorium, but like all of us, he was everywhere at any time.
Today, I read his FB post. He touched my heart and soul. His words are so true and ones we should all pay attention.
I hope you enjoy!
I deliberately choose to withhold my personal opinions, yet it is almost impossible not to notice the widespread dissatisfaction among people. One of my most valued books is ‘The Road Less Traveled’, which the first sentence reads, ‘Life is difficult.’ Thiese words resonate deeply, and I firmly believe that happiness is a deliberate choice that can be developed through practice, similar to any skill. Although some days I succeed in upholding this perspective, others present difficulty Exposure to current events can be overwhelming, prompting concerns about our shared future. Nevertheless, I maintain confidence in a higher authority, the principles of Jesus Christ, and humanity’s capacity for resilience. When possible, I choose happiness
Thanks, Charlie Gee, for your words of wisdom and truth.
