Willodean Martin Luckey, 94, of Magee, Mississippi, passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sunday, October 30, 1927, in Smith County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church at 2021 Simpson Hwy 540, Magee, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Brother Danny Dickerson and Brother Wade Mathis will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mrs. Luckey was a member of Kennedy Springs Baptist Church of Magee, Mississippi. She was a gracious lady who loved Jesus, her family and friends.  If you met her, you would always remember her sweet smile and sweet spirit.  She was a great host with tremendous hospitality.  Willodean was a wonderful cook and planned the menu for all family events; Easter being her favorite.  We were so blessed to spend our Easter with her this month.

She was preceded in death by husbands, “The Father of her Children, Joseph Dennis “JD” Warren and Wilk Luckey; one grandson, Clay Collins; father, Virgil Martin; mother, Emile Garner; three siblings, Clois Martin, Marie Renfroe, Doris Runnels; one half-brother and four half-sisters; and two sons-in-law, Kenneth Thompson Cary Moore.

Survivors include her four loving daughters, JoAnn Moore of Magee, Jerry McCall of Brandon, Kathy Thompson (Charles) of Magee, and Deborah Harper of Brandon; three grandchildren, Ken Thompson of Magee, Shana Thompson of Magee, and Meghan Hutchins (Will) of Brandon; eight great-grandchildren, Joseph Thompson of Texas, Jacob Thompson of New York, Kyle Thompson of Magee, Kenny Thompson of Magee, Michelle Magee of Magee, Ashley Middleton (Brandon) of Mize, Culley Hutchins of Brandon, and Harper Rose Hutchins of Brandon; three great-great-grandchildren, Beau Middleton of Mize, Micah Thompson of Texas, and David Thompson of Texas; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Will Hutchins, Brandon Middleton, Kenny Lofton, Tommy Collins, Tim White, and Billy Luckey. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Thompson and Ken Thompson.
