Walk Humbly with God. By James Davis

The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Micah 6:8: “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Amen! The prophet of old, as other prophets of God before him, was responsible for relaying God’s messages to His chosen people. The people knew from past encounters with God just what was expected of them; yet, it was the prophet’s duty to continue to reinforce the necessity of obedience and humble acceptance to please God. Do we act justly in dealings with our fellow man? Do we love mercy enough to show grace to others? And do we walk humbly or rather show pride and arrogance? God provides the standard, the measuring stick. How do we rate? Today, let us be about doing some self-analysis, okay?
