W. T. (Tommy) Meadows, 76, of Braxton, passed from this life Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Simpson General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall, Burial will be in Ross Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements, (601)847-4401.
Tommy was an avid outdoors man and loving family man. He retired from Madison-Rankin cotton Gin after running it for 30 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, building various toys for his grandchildren in his woodwork shop, and working on the tractor when he could. Tommy was a  loving family man. He retired from the Madison-Rankin Cotton Gospel group Hosanna and was considered their designated bus driver for nearly 10 years. You could find Tommy mid morning or afternoon drinking coffee with his friends at Wards in Mendenhall. He will be dearly missed by his friends, family, and all that knew him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall. Surviving Family Members are: Wife – Allene Gates Meadows, Braxton, Daughter – Lynn Crowe (Howard), Cato, , Daughter – Shannon Lyle (Dan), Ridgeland, , Grand Children, Aaron Crowe (Lauren), Jessica Crowe, Cal Crowe, Reese Lyle, Gates Lyle, Niece – Myra Rhodes (Warren), Niece – Susan Easterling, Great-Nephew – Chris Gates (Lynn).
Preceded in death by father, Porter Meadows, mother, Emma Meadows, sister, Vera Villeret.
Pallbearers will be: Cal Crowe, Charlie Brown, Richard Weaver, Ray Cater, John Throne,  and Brian Whittington.   Honorary Pallbearers are Joel Easterling and Keith Ray Brown,
