The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in 1 Peter 1:8-9: “Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” What a marvelous summation of the joy one feels as a Christian! When we accept Jesus into our hearts and lives, we become a separate people; we are new creatures; and we are filled with joy and wonder (the Holy Spirit). The apostles knew this all too well and spoke of it often to the new converts in the early churches. Do you possess joy unspeakable, full of glory? Well, you can. It’s yours but for the asking. The gift of salvation is the key, and it’s free. Let Jesus come into your heart and allow this Scripture to come alive within you. Amen!
