Turnip Green Soup
In a large soup pot add and do not drain:
2 large cans Old Glory Seasoned Turnip Greens
1 32oz Swanson Chicken Broth
2 cans white/ shoe peg corn
2 cans okra, corn & tomatoes
Rinse all beans and add to pot
1 can purple hull peas
I can black eyed peas
1 can crowder peas
1 can field peas.. I put 2.. My favorite
1 can baby lima beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can black beans
Bring pot to a boil and then turn to simmer
3 T butter
1 large onion.. Or bag of frozen…chopped
2 lbs link sausage… No spices
1 t Lawrys season
1 t pepper
In a frying pan add 2 T butter and onion and seasonings. Sauté a large onion chopped or about 3/4 bag of chopped frozen onion. Add to pot. In same pan add 1T butter and fry up 2 lbs of chopped link sausage. Add sausage to pot. In frying pan add a little water and stir up a little clear gravy. Add to soup pot.
Done… Ready to eat… Makes a lot but it is great to freeze.
