Transportation Commission awards contracts throughout state

JACKSON, MISS. – The Mississippi Transportation Commission (MTC) at its June 11 meeting awarded contracts for maintenance projects throughout Mississippi.

There were five projects in the Southern District.

“These projects will help MDOT continue to provide safe and reliable transportation to Mississippi’s traveling public,” said Commissioner Tom King, Southern Transportation District.

The awarded contracts for the Southern District were:

There were six projects in the Central District.

“Our number one priority at the Mississippi Department of Transportation is to keep the state of Mississippi safe,” said Commissioner Dick Hall, Central Transportation District.

The awarded contracts for the Central District were:

There were 10 projects in the Northern District.

“Safety is always MDOT’s top priority,” said Commissioner Mike Tagert, Northern Transportation District. “These projects will significantly increase the safety and mobility throughout North Mississippi.”

The awarded contracts for the Northern District were:

MDOT will release additional information regarding timelines and impacts to traffic prior to the start of construction.

MDOT will alert the traveling public prior to any changes in traffic.
