On November 5, 2024, at approximately 22:59, an officer with the Magee Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving carelessly on Highway 49 northbound. During the stop, it was determined that the driver, identified as Sonya McLemore, was driving under the influence. McLemore was subsequently arrested on charges of DUI (1st Offense), Careless Driving, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Open Container. She was transported to the Magee Police Department, where she was booked and processed for said charges.
