The Armor of God

In the Bible we read about soldiers putting on parts of armor for protection. The Christians had better protection than anyone. They had the armor of God to protect them. Our devotion today speaks about this very thing. Romans 13:14. But to put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ. And make not provision for the flesh fulfill the lusts thereof.
The armor of God to a child of God protects him or her from the world. The greatest armor but the least one used his prayer. Prayer is when we have a heart to heart conversation with Jesus about what ever we need victory over. We must serve God with all of our being. If we serve God with anything less than 100% it just not good enough.
Some of us won’t to be a child of God when we feel like it. We must be a child of God all the time. Some of us want to be a child of God on Easter to show people we have been resurrected. Some of us on Christmas because we have been born again. Some of us on Thanksgiving because we are thankful. God wants us all the time.
When Christ comes into our life the world dies away. We are in the world but not of the world. The world once ruled our life but we still had that lonely feeling. The word of God says greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. We have tried everything the world has to offer.
Father help us to die daily to the world. Help us to tell our trials and valleys how big and great you are. Later this week be your week of victory.
