Simpson County Board of Supervisors Meeting Recap

Simpson County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 9:00 AM.

Sheriff Department asked for approval to hire Eric Jerscheikd for part-time ACA advisor, hire Donna Smith for Part-Time Administrator, and send Crystal Scarbrough and Shane Steele to Covington County EOC March 8-11th.  The cost of the school is $495 per person.  A request to send Laquieta Walker and Shea Seghini to Compliance and Accreditation Managers Association (CAMA) training Mary 19-22 in Louisville, Kentucky at a cost of $200 per person.  The cost of the hotel room at the Louisville Marriott Downtown is $145 per night.  A request to send Chris Wallace to PIO Boot Camp in Arkansas at a cost of $595 plus hotel stay.  A request for grant funding for DUI program in the amount of $69,210.00. The board approved all items.

 

The board approved hiring a new added position as a relief driver for all routes with the Solid Waste Department.

 

The board approved a joint bid from Peoples Bank and Priority One Bank for County Depository for the 2018-19 calendar year. The bid was the highest and best bid.

 

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned. The next regular scheduled board meeting is  February 5, 2018.
