The Scriptural passage for today is found in Ezekiel 36:26: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” The promise of God is here delivered to His people in the Old Testament through His prophet; yet, the promise holds true today for us who have been given new life through Jesus Christ. When we accept Jesus, that old nature is removed from us–that heart of stone, and we are given a new heart of love. Let’s exercise that new heart and show our thankfulness through the study of God’s Word and through an active prayer life. Amen!
Once again, let’s be sure to share the love, joy, and kindness today with all those with whom we come in contact. The world is in dire need of all three, and who can do it better than we, God’s children, his emissaries? Let us not be slack concerning our charge.
