STATE FAIRGROUNDS, Miss. – Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson invites everyone to attend the 59th annual Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo and announces the schedule of events taking place tomorrow Wednesday, February 14 and Thursday, February 15, 2024. All events take place on the Mississippi State Fairgrounds.
The Wednesday, February 14, performance of the Dixie National Rodeo is sold out. A limited number of Megan Moroney concert-only tickets are available to be purchased at the Mississippi Coliseum Ticket Office. The tickets are $30 plus fees. The limit is four tickets per customer.
On February 14, doors will open for concert-only ticket holders at 8:30 p.m. Concert-only ticket holders will form a line in the Mississippi Trade Mart to enter the Coliseum. Once the rodeo competition is complete, all ticket holders will have direct access to the arena floor for the Megan Moroney concert. The Dixie National Quarter Horse Show continues in the Kirk Fordice Equine Center through Sunday, February 18. The Dixie National Quarter Horse Show hosts exhibitors from 22 states across the country and over 400 American quarter horses will participate in this multi-day event which showcases the versatility of the American quarter horse breed. Competitions for the Dixie National Quarter Horse Show include roping, barrels, ranch classes, English classes and traditional western classes. This event is free to the public.

Dixie National Rodeo Recap:
Today nearly 5,000 students from 30 schools and multiple homeschool groups from around the state attended Kid’s Day at the Dixie National Rodeo. They watched as over 50 barrel racers from across the nation competed. Sara Winkelman from Big Lake, Minnesota, had the fastest time at 13.49 seconds, putting her in first place.
