Simpson Academy Cougar boys basketball team defeated Jackson Academy Raiders 53-42 in the first game of the State MAIS Over-All Tournament held at Mississippi College.
Neck and neck during most of the game, the Cougars found the sweet spot in the 4th quarter hitting 17 points to JA’s 5 points.
The Cougars will play Saturday at 11:15.
