Sarah Rowina Pennington
Sarah Rowina Pennington went to her heavenly home on April 28, 2023, in Mount Olive, Mississippi, surrounded by her loving family. Sarah was born on January 22, 1941, in Simpson County, Mississippi to the late John and Mary Francis Bynum. She grew up in the Martinville community.
Sarah will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church in Magee, Mississippi. Sarah was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan. She loved working in her flowerbed and growing ferns.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Francis Bynum; husbands, Charles Rayburn Little, and Jerry Pennington; son, Charles Ray Little; grandson, Jason Little; granddaughter, Kimberly Wallace; great granddaughter, Charley Ann Little; brother, Roy Lee (Rayford) Bynum, Melton (Gertrude) Bynum; sister, Juanita (Elmer) Anderson.
She survived by her three loving children Sarah “Bird” (Doug) Patrick of Mendenhall, Paul (Nicole) Little of Mount Olive, and Rhonda (Duran) Runnels of Mount Olive; granddaughters, Tanya (Chieco) Little, Keisha (Randy) Adcox, Shelby Allyn Little, and Katie (Garrett) Shows; great-grandkids, Chris (Kealeigh) McLean, Nick McLean, Matt (Kaitlyn) Dollar, and Macee Dollar; great-great grandkids, Millie McLean, Dawson McLean, Maddox McLean, Joseph McLean, and Maverick Dollar; a sister in law, Bobbie Jean Cole of Magee; a host of nieces, and nephews; and special friend Olis Roberts.
Pallbearers Chieco Brown, Randy Adcox, Chris McClean, Nick McClean, Garrett Shows, and Matt Dollar.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, MS. Bro. Steve Ellis and Bro. David McCord will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
