Rudolph Tanner passed at his home on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the age of 91. He was born to Otis and  Lee (Sullivan) Tanner on October 7, 1929, in Mize, MS.

During his early years, Rudolph served his country in The United States Army and fought during the Korean War. He was a doting grandfather and loved his family dearly. He was always ready with a joke or funny story.

He is survived by his sisters, Bea Chaney, Doris Welborn, Linda Cox; grandson, Randy Tanner (Jan); great-grandchildren, John Warren (Angel), Ashley Amason (Brian), Austin Tanner; thirteen great-great-grandchildren and seven great-great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Evens Randy Tanner; brothers, Oden Tanner, Farrell Tanner; sisters, Hazel Sullivan and Ethel Mae Cummins.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mize, MS.
