The Board of Aldermen held an emergency meeting, September 24, 2024 @ 12 PM concerning a change order on the water meters. It is necessary to exchange some of the 1-inch meters for ¾ inch meters.  400 meters are yet to be installed.  A discussion was held concerning problems with Vanguard who is installing the meters.  Alderman Patrick Brown expressed his displeasure in the Vanguard employees not wearing any gear with Vanguard on the item.  The employee vehicles do not have any Vanguard markings.  The board spoke with the owner of Vanguard by phone, and he assured the board and Mayor that employees would have identification.

Aldermen in attendance for the meeting:  Patrick Brown, Mark Grubbs, and Sue Honea.  Mayor Dale Berry, City Clerk Jon Styron, and engineer Forrest Dungan,  Vanguard employee Blaze, and City Superintendent Tim Bray were also present.

Blaze with VanGuard is in charge of the changing of the meters in the city.
