Yesterday, February 5, the local NWTF Chapter held their annual banquet and honored local seniors by awarding them with a scholarship. The scholarship is competitive and participants were required to submit an essay for the competition. Brandon Walker, senior at Mendenhall High School, was one of three selected to receive a scholarship, and his essay will be advancing into the national competition to hopefully win there as well. Along with an auction and fun drawings, there was an amazing meal prepared by Mr. Chris Williams and crew. Pull pork, chicken, cole slaw, and Popeye’s sweet tea consisted of meal along with delicious banana pudding for desert. The NWTF banquet was an awesome community event that benefits all involved.

Members of the local NWTF Chapter line up to feast on some delicious food.
