The bridge on New Hope Road was closed due to two pilings needing repair. The bridge was to be closed for a couple of weeks….No more!
A minor situation might have become a major situation following a log truck accident. The log truck brakes were not working causing the truck to plow over the bridge resulting in damage to the actual bridge. Now, we’ve got pilling damage and perhaps structural damage.
The repair time of the bridge has been extended. Who knows when the New Hope travelers will have a bridge!
(Sue note: I was given incorrect information earlier as to the cause of the accident. The brakes were not working on the truck. There are barricades at the bridge and approaching the bridge)
