JACKSON, MS – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’ (MDWFP) Mississippi Museum of Natural Science (MMNS) invites families looking for exciting summer camp experiences for their children ages PreK3 – Grade 12 to look no further! Registration opens February 17 for Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation Members (MMNSF) and on February 24 for Non-Members.
CAMP WILD (Wander, Investigate, Learn, Discover) offers hands-on science, up-close animal encounters, outdoor adventures, and new friendships. Camps run from May 26 to July 10, 2026. Themes include Ice Age Adventure, Field Camp, Jr. Naturalist Camp, Splash Camp, and Mad Scientist Camp!
“CAMP WILD gives kids the chance to explore, ask questions, and experience science in a way that’s fun, active, and unforgettable,” says Museum Education Coordinator Katie Tupy. “From meeting live animals to outdoor investigations and hands-on experiments, our camps spark curiosity and build confidence while creating lasting memories.”
Camp spots fill fast, and pre-registration is required. MMNSF Members receive a discount.
