Myrtice McCallum Barrentine, 68 of Magee, MS went from her earthly to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at her residence in Mendenhall, MS. She was born Sunday, April 8, 1956 in Magee, MS.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:00am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. George Owens and Bro. Jesse Swilley will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Myrtice was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and auntie. She loved to cook for her family and friends when she was able. She was a caregiver to her parents and husband. She always did her best to help others. She loved her pastor and her church family. She also loved children so much. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Barrentine, Sr.; son, Stephen Barrentine; daughter, Andrea Creel Yates; father, B.F. McCallum; mother, Glyadis Tebow McCallum; brother, Harry McCallum; and sisters, Joann Warren, Peggy Jane McCallum.
She is survived by her sons, Marvin Noah Creel and Ricky Barrentine, Jr. (Brittany); grandchildren, Chase Allen, Amason Barrentine, Daniel Creel, Kalla Yates, Emory Barrentine and Andrea Creel; sisters, Betty Joyce Craft, Sue Bryant (Jimmy) and Clara Davis; great grandchildren, Rivers Allen and Raelynn Yates; nephew and niece, Jimmy and Kay Warren; and a host of other nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Warren, David Hosey, Wayne Bryant, Joey Husband, Abe Warren, Michael McWilliams, Jason Hearn, and Noah Creel.
