MAGEE, Miss. – Magee General Hospital has begun executing a variety of previously established safety measures as a result of the recent case of COVID-19 reported in Forrest County.

Beginning Monday, March 16, visiting hours for patients will be limited to the hours of 4 to 7 p.m. and only one visitor will be allowed per patient. Children under the age of 18 will not be allowed to visit.

All patients and visitors must enter through the main entrance by the Emergency Department. Everyone who enters will be screened for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and asked to use hand sanitizer prior to entering the facility. Any visitors with a fever or cough will not be allowed to visit patients.

No visitors are allowed in the Emergency Department treatment areas with patients.

Outside vendors and marketers will not be allowed to visit Magee General Hospital.
