(July 18, 1938 – May 28, 2022)

          Mary Louise Matthews Jernigan White, 83 of Taylorsville, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the Mississippi Care Center in Raleigh, Mississippi. She was born Monday, July 18, 1938, in Louin, Mississippi.

          Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 113 Front Street, Taylorsville, Mississippi.

          Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi.  Brother Tim McNeil will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

          Mrs. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She enjoyed spending time working in the yard and with her flowers, but most of all spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

          She was preceded in death by her husband the father of her children, Steve Ollie Jernigan; father, Louie Matthews; mother, Lula D. Thomas Matthews; brother, James Fred Matthews; and daughter-in-law, Wanda Jernigan.

          Survivors include her husband, Thomas White of Taylorsville, Mississippi; two sons, Tommy Jernigan and Benny Jernigan both of Taylorsville, MS;  one daughter, Diane Jernigan Eker (Jerome) of Saint Johns, Florida;  three step-children, Stacy Nelson of Midland Texas, April White of Taylorsville, Mississippi, and Duane White of Mize, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Carrie Jernigan Ham (Joseph) of Laurel, Mississippi, Kristy Jernigan of Taylorsville, Mississippi and Rachel Eker of Saint Johns, Florida;  four great-grandchildren, Cadyn Ham, Abi Ham, Dax Ham all of Laurel, Mississippi and Lillian Meadows of Taylorsville, Mississippi; numerous of step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; one sister, Sammie Matthews Wempen of Taylorsville, Mississippi; and a host of other family members and friends.
