U.S. Veteran Luther Oliver Parker, 78, of Taylorsville, MS passed away Friday, December 16, 2016, at Mississippi State Veteran’s Home in Collins, MS. He was born October 19, 1938.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, MS. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, MS. Bro. Arthur Newman will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031
He is preceded in death by his Father – Henry Parker, Mother – Nobie Parker, Wife – Edith Parker.
Survivors include his sons, Malcolm Parker (Trish), Dwayne Parker, and John Parker (Cindy); Daughters, Carol Boykin and Lisa Blakeney (Stanley); Grand Children, LeAnn Gibson (Michael), Justin Parker (Megan), Tyler Boykin (Kirstyn), Taylor Boone (Justin), Morgan Parker, Hunter Blakeney, Tymber Eubanks, Ashley Hoggard, Mason Parker, Jeremiah Parker, Jonah Parker; Great Grand Children, Brody Parker, Rilee Gibson, Gage Gibson, Trenton Boone, Jackson Hoggard, & Rowen Boykin.
Pallbearers – Justin Parker, Tyler Boykin, Mason Parker, Jeremiah Parker, Hunter Blakeney, Jonah Parker; Hnr. Pallbearers – Randolph Parker, James Parker, Wayne Gatlin, Eric Gatlin, Shane Moore, Bryan Parker, and Kenneth Boone.
