By James Davis
The Scriptural passage is today found in James 2:8: “If you really keep the royal Law found in Scripture, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself,’ you are doing right.” The key and operative word is “love.” Without love, we cannot please God, because God is love. This is borne out in the BIBLE time and time again. God has fashioned us for community, and love is the glue which holds and binds us to and with our brothers and sisters in Christ. They (the world) will know we are Christian by our love. Can we be singled out as being different from the millions around us? Can others see the love of Jesus in us? Time for a personal assessment.
Okay, let’s not be stingy in sharing love, joy, and kindness with others today as we interact with our fellow man. A smile can turn another’s day around.
