Linda Faye Craft Butler, 77 of Magee, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Magee General Hospital in Magee, Mississippi. She was born on Monday, November 5, 1945, in Magee, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi, and on Monday, April 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Dry Creek Baptist Church, 1246 Dry Creek Road, Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Dry Creek Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Joe Metts and Bro. Gary Roberts will officiate. Special music will be provided by Bro. Gary Roberts. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Mrs. Linda was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church in Magee, Mississippi. She was a devoted member of her church where she severed in various positions. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
She was a graduate of Magee High School in Magee, Mississippi. She continued her education in Business at Jackson Community Business College in Jackson, Mississippi. She was the past President of The National Secretary Association. She enjoyed cooking, reading, shopping, going to Shivers to eat, and most of all spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Butler; son, Stanley Butler; father, James Nevil Craft; mother, Iona Ware Craft; and brother, Homer Lee Craft.
Survivors include her one daughter, Brenda Butler Cooper (David) of Magee, MS; two grandchildren, Carolyn Berry Thompson (Bryan) of Mendenhall, MS, and Jason Cooper (Heidi) of Poplarville, MS; three great-grandchildren, Olivia Estelle Thompson of Mendenhall, MS, Ada Mae Thompson of Mendenhall, MS, and Liam Cooper of Poplarville, MS; one sister, Louise Craft Menefee (Robert) of Madison, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
