Lillie Hancock Burkes went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 1, 2020, at UMMC in Jackson. She was 75 years of age. She was born March 20, 1945, in Smith County to Onnie and Ethel (Wilborn) Hancock who preceded her in death.

Lillie was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family and spending time with them.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Henry Dennis, William Burkes and Jessie Burkes; sons, Grayland Dennis and Cecil Burkes; brothers, Robert Hancock and Willie Dale Hancock.

Lillie is survived by her sons, Rex Dennis (Nina), Dewayne Seger and William Burkes; daughters, Teresa Whatley, Patricia Fortenberry (Chris), Angel Girouard (Mark), Sandra Jolly (Chip) and Nikki Burkes; sister, Rose Puckett (James) and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. Services are scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home Chapel in Magee. Reverend James Fortenberry will officiate. Interment will follow in Jesus Name Apostolic Cemetery in Mt. Olive, MS.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
