The Scriptural passage for today is taken from Luke 16:10: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” Amen! The early Christian writers were careful to point out to the members of the various church congregations that one must always be careful and mindful of those who might try to sway them away from the truth and the light. Many were infiltrating their numbers with bits of doctrine not espoused by Christ Himself. It’s one of the reasons we’re told to pray for wisdom and discernment. Measure a person by his demeanor and actions over a period of time. If he or she adheres to the Word of God, professes to be Christian, and lives it, good. We’re not to judge; but we’re not to be blind, either. Let us strive to be wise and make good, sound decisions based upon God’s laws and strictures. Amen!
