Laura “Lori” Elline Bounds, was born June 23, 1971 in Bay Springs, MS to Larry
“Rock” White and Laura Lee Ainsworth. She finished her four-year battle with cancer surrounded by loving family on August 7, 2025.
Lori was known by all for her strong will, her love for others, especially her family, and most of all her grandchildren. Her last days were spent making it clear to everyone that she would never give up on the ones she loved by fighting her hardest.
Lori was a strong advocate of furthering education. She proved that by attending JCJC, Southern Miss, and William Carey later in life while raising her family. Her passion was teaching, which led her to study Elementary and Secondary Education. She would go on to receive her associate’s and bachelor’s degrees and pursue a career in education. During this time, she would continue touching and impacting the lives of the children she taught with her immensely compassionate and loving personality. This would continue until her boys left home to pursue their careers in the pipeline industry with their father. The mother and wife that she was would not allow for that much time away from her family, so Lori hit the road with them and pursued her own career in the pipeline industry w/them where she would become Chad’s office manager. Just like her other endeavors, she would continue to build meaningful and lasting relationships with all she encountered.
Lori is preceded in death by her son, Devin Chase Bounds; her stepmother, Connie White; her maternal Grandparents, Oree and Elline Ainsworth, her paternal grandparents, Pete and Bertha White.
She is survived by her husband, Chad Bounds; sons Jeff Bounds (Julie),
Dalton Bounds; her father, Larry “Rock” White; her mother, Laura Lee Ainsworth; her siblings; Krystal Parker, Bret Parker, Jared White(Morgan), and Heath White; grandchildren; Joleigh Bounds, Jase Bounds, and Wade Bounds; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, all of which she loved and would stop at nothing to help in any way she could.
