Kathryn Ann May Wallace, 84 of Magee, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, Mississippi. She was born on Monday, May 16, 1938, in Simpson County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi. The burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Matthew Temple will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Ms. Kathryn was a member of First United Methodist Church of Magee. She was a talented piano player and would assist playing at church when needed. She was a Hinds Highstepper at Hinds Junior College. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Holbrook; father, William “Bill” May; mother, Eleanor Caughman May; sister, Miriam May; and grandson, Tyler Scott Wallace.
Survivors include her one son, Scott Wallace (Pat) of Magee, MS; one daughter, Leigh Wallace Cameron (D.C.) of Purvis, MS; five grandchildren, Emily Wallace of Magee, MS, Kaci Wallace of Magee, MS, Hollie Holbrook of Austin, TX, Hayden Holbrook (Allison) of Magee, MS and Ellie Cameron of Purvis, MS; two great-grandchildren, Daxton Holbrook of Magee, MS, and Kaylee Holbrook of Magee, MS; one brother, David May of Magee, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Capistran, Jerry Wayne Wallace, Luke Wallace, Christopher Wallace, Garrett Grubbs, and John Mark Berry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Wallace, Dale Berry, and Jeff Holbrook.
