Johnnie Ruth Eavenson, 77 of Mendenhall, MS passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at her residence in Mendenhall, MS. She was born Friday, December 19, 1947 in Magee, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church in Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church in Magee, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Kennedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Earl Clark, Bro. Wade Mathis, and Bro. Ken Harrison will officiate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joel Eavenson; daughter, Angie Eavenson; parents, Earl Warren and Jessie Ruth Cook Warren; father-in-law, GW Eavenson; mother-in-law, Verlene Eavenson; son-in-law, Stephen May.
Survivors include her daughter, Hope May; grandchild, Kason May; sister, Janet Sullivan (Gary Paul); nephews, Brock Sullivan and Justin Sullivan; nieces, Kim Chisolm and Jessica Hayes; sister-in-law, Sylvia Eavenson; and host of great-nieces and great- nephews; and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Kason May, Brock Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, Landon Hayes, Evan Chisolm, and Kenny Lofton.
