Simpson County Sheriff Kenneth Lewis reports that on Friday, June 5, 2015, the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the address of 241 Warren Cook Rd., in Magee, Mississippi. As a result of the search warrant, approximately half an ounce of methamphetamine in individually packaged bags, 23 firearms, a 5-camera surveillance system, 2 vehicles, a tractor, and 3 flat screen TVs were seized. Two of the firearms recovered were found to be stolen from Simpson County. Sheriff Lewis stated that the property owner, John Arthur Warren, was taken into custody without incident and will be charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute While in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
