James Parker, Braxton, MS
James Edd Parker, 81, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016. He was born on July 04, 1935 to his parents, J.D. and Maudie (Jennings) Parker.
James served in the United States Army National Guard from 1953 until 1960. He retired from a career in the trucking industry.
He is survived by sons, James Kenneth Parker and Jeffery Scott Parker; daughters, Rebecca Jean Smith, Cindy Darlene Boutian and Jennifer Lynn Parker; sister, Peggy Ruth Bevill; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Bullock) Parker; brothers, Jerry C. Parker, Bobby Jean Parker, Kenneth Ray Parker and sister, Ruby Nell (Parker) Johnson.
Visitation will be at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, on Thursday, November 3, 2016, from 5-8 p.m. Services are scheduled for Friday, November 4, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., in the Tutor Funeral Home Chapel in Mendenhall, with Bro. Bryan Shufelt officiating. Final Resting place will be in the Braxton City Cemetery in Braxton.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
