James Earl Smith, 78, passed from this life on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Collins State V A Nursing Home in Collins, MS. He was born Thursday, December 31, 1936 in Magee, MS
Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 21, 2015 at 2:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee with Bro. Jimmy Arender officiating. Burial will follow in Coats Baptist Church Cemetery with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
He is survived by: Sons: Ronnie Smith, Raleigh, MS, Doug Smith (Deporah), Florence, MS, Daughters: Sandy S. Thomas (Barry), Sandy Hook, MS, Rose Lynn Smith, GA, Brothers: Jessie D Smith, Mize, MS, David Smith, TN :18 grandchildren and 15 great-children.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Smith, Bruce Smith, Eric Smith, Joe Melton, Barry II Thomas, and Stephen Smith.
He is preceded in death by Sister: Frances S Ford, FL, Parents: Vyron and Ruby Smith, Brothers: Roy and Macolm Smith,
