“If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord.” by James Davis

The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Romans 14:8: “If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we love or die, we belong to the Lord.” The apostle is directing his message to the early church, the early Christian converts, assuring them that they now are in covenant with God. No matter in what condition they find themselves (living or otherwise), they belong to God and can take comfort in knowing that He will never leave them or forsake them. They are forever “under His wings” and will always be in His care and keeping. We, too, can have that same assurance when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. If you have not, make your preparation now. Do not delay. Times are so uncertain. Let us live our Christianity today by sharing with others the love, joy, and kindness God shares with us, His children. We can make them a part of us with practice, prayer, and the study of His Word.

Happy Friday!
