Helen Carr Parish, 81 of Magee, MS passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the Bedford Nursing Home in Mendenhall, MS. She was born Sunday, March 03, 1940 in Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 02, 2022 at Mt. Olive City Cemetery.  Bro. Cliff Lazenby will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.

Ms. Parish retired as Executive Director of Special Olympics Mississippi after working for the organization for over 25 years. She was richly blessed by the athletes and their families just as she was a blessing to them. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who was affectionately called Mom. She made all holidays memorable, especially Christmas. She enjoyed all sports, reading, singing, and decorating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Lois Sanford Carr.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Parish (Janet) of Bryan, TX;  daughter, Amy  Davis  (Michael) of Waynesville, NC;  grandchildren, Jamie Little Prine of Magee, MS,  Jeramy Little (Tracie) of Mize, MS, Lauren Little  Adkins (Eric) of Magee, MS, Haley Parish Batten (Garrett) of Bryan, TX, Taylor McKissack of Mt. Olive , MS, Kristen Parish of Bryan, TX and Jeffrey Parish of Bryan, TX;  great-grandchildren, Carrigan Prine, Wesley Little, Landry Little, Kelsey Holloway and Cooper Batten; brothers, Joe  Carr (Bobbie) of Lumberton, MS,  Dwight Carr (Margaret) of Mt. Olive, MS ,and Larry Carr (Lori) of Flora, MS;  aunt, Eleanor Lewis of Mt. Olive, MS and friend, Janie Allen of Magee, MS.

Pallbearers will be Eric Adkins, Jeramy Little, Jeff Parish, Joe Carr, Dwight Carr, and Jeffrey Parish.
