Harold Scott Brown, Mt.Olive, MS
Harold Scott Brown, 90, of Mt. Olive died Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Brown, a native of Jefferson Davis County, graduated from Clem High School and then served in the Navy. He was married to the love of his life, Willie Bee, for 70 years. After a career with Honeywell, he retired and devoted his time to his cross-bred cattle operation. Fifteen years ago he turned his cattle farm into a tree farm. He was a deacon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 51 years and a Mason for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Bee Brown and his son, Harold Scott Brown, Jr. and his wife Maureen; sister, Sue Boggan and her husband Joe. Grandchildren include, Brandy Brown Gordon, married to Steve Gordon, and Tyler Brown, married to Jenne’ Boucher Brown. Great-grandchildren are, Katie Parker Gordon, Charlie Scott Gordon and Georgia Dupree Brown.
Preceded in death by his parents, Scott and Mary Alice Brown; sister, Rosenell Hilton and brother, Fred Brown.
Visitation will be held at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee on Friday, January 27 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, on Saturday, January 28 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation at the church from 12:00-1:00.
