Harold Douglas Stringer, 81, of Magee, MS passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Arrington Living Center in Collins, MS. He was born Thursday, February 6, 1936 in Simpson Co., MS.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee, MS. Rev. Mike Ahlburg will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031
He is preceded in death by his Wife Jerrie D. Stringer, Parents, Durwood Douglas Stringer,Hilda Mae Stringer and Myra Ainsworth Stringer; Son, Jody Ray Stringer; Grandson, Travis Stringer, and Brother, Adrian Stringer.
Survivors include his Sons, John Stringer (Elizabeth), and Jeff Stringer (Renee), all of Magee; Grandchildren, Jessica Yates (Zeke), Jordan Stringer, Janna Stringer (Drew Myers), Stacie Sullivan (Justin), Aaron Burkett, Summer Burkett, all of Magee; Seven Great-grandchildren, Sisters, Jane Griffith (James), and Mary Ann Jones (Clifford), of Magee, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Stringer, Wesley Stringer, Kim Kimberley, David Newman, Benny Kimberley, and Jimmy Mangum. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gabe Stringer, Aubrey Yates, Channon Stringer, Axton Yates, Ridge Myers, Tanner Stringer, Jordan Stringer and Aaron Burkett.
