The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in 2 Corinthians 9:7: “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” How much should we, as Christians, give? The apostle Paul, through divine inspiration from God, told those members of the Church at Corinth to give whatever each decides within his own heart and mind to give. If we are in close communion with God, we know we’re admonished throughout the BIBLE to give to help support the various programs within the church, as well as to aid the less fortunate. One gives whatever he’s purposed in his heart to give, and God will be well-pleased with it. God looks upon the heart of man. Man, on the other hand, looks upon the outward appearance. Let us strive to please God and never to impress man. Amen!
