The passage taken from Scripture for today is found in Luke 6:38: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” What a glorious depiction of the reward for giving to others. We are encouraged throughout the BIBLE to give to the less fortunate and to give freely. In so doing, we’ll be given blessings almost too great for us to receive. We also know that God will reward the faithful and loves a cheerful giver. Let us be of a generous nature and bless the truly needy. Amen!
