Attorney Gene Tullos died Tuesday night. Prayers for his family and friends. We both shared a love of history…and often he enlightened me on my family ties to Smith County. He had a picture of my grandfather, Lacy Gray Horn, Sr. who was the one time Sheriff of Smith County and rode all over the county on a white horse! I think everyone had a “Gene Tullos” story.
Gene loved Raleigh…he loved its people…and he loved Smith County. My thoughts and prayers are with his precious wife Nada.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 5-8pm at the courthouse in Raleigh. Funeral will be Friday, May 27 at 10:30am at Raleigh First Baptist Church, with burial in North Raleigh Cemetery.
