Gary Michael “Mike” McAlpin, 50, of Harrisville, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020. He was born Friday, May 15, 1970, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 20, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The Mercy House Ministry will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mike was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church in Magee, Mississippi. He was a loving father, grandfather, and son. He loved hard and lived free. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Ray and Faye Nell Hosey McAlpin; one granddaughter, Ericha Nicole Burns.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Candy McAlpin-Burns and husband Darrelle “Wayne Burns, Jr. of Harrisville, MS; one son, Adam Michael McAlpin of Albany, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Candy and Darrelle’s children: Brier Dalton Burns, 16, Araya Sunshine Burns, 15, Gaberial Malikah McAlpin, 13, and Serenitee Annalynn Nicole Burns, 7, all of Harrisville, MS; and (Grandchild), Adam’s Children, Summer Lashay McAlpin, 14, Jeremy Daniel McAlpin,12, and Matthew Conner McAlpin, 11; a host of other family members and friends.
