Many fireworks are shot during the 4th of July holiday.  Several injuries occur while participating in shooting fireworks. Remember to apply the rules below for a safe fireworks experience.

  1. Obey all local laws regarding the use of fireworks
  2. Know your fireworks
  3. A responsible adult should supervise all firework activities
  4. Alcohol, drugs, and fireworks to not mix
  5. Wear safety goggles
  6. Light one firework at a time an then quickly move away (No bottle rocket wars).
  7. Use fireworks outdoors in a clear area
  8. Never relight a “Dud” firework, move on to the next one.
  9. Always have a container of water and water hose nearby.
  10. Never carry fireworks in your pocket.

Also remember most pets are afraid of the noise of the fireworks.  Make sure all animals are safe from any fireworks being shot.
