Traditionally New Year’s Eve is celebrated with fireworks to ring in the new year.
Firework’s can be a beautiful display of colors and enjoyment if respected.
Firework safety is a must! If fireworks are not handled properly, the fireworks can cause burns and eye injuries in kids and adults. The best way to protect and keep everyone safe is to follow the following suggestions.
Keep a safe distance from you and the fireworks. A suggestion of 500 feet is to be observed. Never try to re-light or pick up fireworks that have not ignited fully. Never point or throw fireworks at another person. It is recommended to keep a bucket of water or a garden hose handy in case of fire outbreak or other mishap. Make sure to light fireworks one at a time, then move back quickly.
With safety protocols in place everyone will have a bang of a night!
