The Dollar General located on Highway 28 West was robbed Friday night, November 24 at 9:49 PM. The robbery took place 11 minutes before the store was to close. Two clerks and one customer was in the store at the time of the robbery.
A slender black male entered the front door with a blue shirt wrapped around his head and went straight to the check out register demanding all money. The clerk opened the drawer and the suspect grabbed the money in the cash drawer. $361.91 was taken in the robbery according to Simpson County Investigator Chris Wallace.
The robber exited the store on foot and no vehicle was spotted by the employees.
