DISTRICT ATTORNEY MATT SULLIVAN ANNOUNCES CONVICTION IN D’LO TRUCK STOP ROBBERY
District Attorney Matt Sullivan announces that on March 26, 2019, Elwood Legget received 30 years for Armed Robbery and an additional 10 years for Malicious Mischief. On January 3, 2018, Legget deliberately drove a car into D’Lo Truck Stop and then robbed the store at gunpoint. Surveillance video recorded Legget committing the crimes. Legget fled the scene, but he was soon captured by law enforcement. Legget shall be under the control of the Mississippi Department of Corrections for the entirety of his sentence. Legget’s sentence is conditioned on the specific terms of his final judgement, including number of years to serve incarcerated and/or other supervision and all fines and fees assessed. District Attorney Matt Sullivan acknowledges the courage of the victims and witnesses, and also the diligent work of law enforcement in their pursuit of justice.
